WELCOME
WEEK 2022!!
Welcome Week takes place every year right before the Fall semester
begins. The 2022 event happened throughout the week of Aug.
15. Designed for freshmen and new LSU students, Welcome Week
includes a host of informative sessions to introduce the campus and its
resources, as well as fun events to allow students to meet new friends.
On Monday of this year’s Welcome Week, the LSU Residence Hall
Association hosted a block party outside the PMAC, complete with
selfie booths and snoballs. On Wednesday, soap bubbles filled Tower
Drive at the Welcome Week Foam Party, a longtime student favorite
event. The orientation excitement culminated on Saturday with the
Welcome Week Carnival. A Ferris wheel, mechanical bull and other
carnival rides filled the parking lots near Tiger Stadium. The sights and
sounds of amusement filled the night sky, as students gathered to
enjoy their last weekend before the start of college classes.
