All Staff employed by Active Prospects complete a
comprehensive induction which is delivered by our
in-house training coordinator, this includes.
+ Medication
+ Safeguarding
Working in partnership
+ Manual handling
+ Emergency first aid at work
+ Introduction to conditions in care
In 2022 we were approached by commissioners in both
Brighton and Hove and West Sussex about developing
new services for people with complex needs. Our track
record in supporting great outcomes for people had
resonated regionally.

We have a robust training schedule that has
been designed to ensure that staff working in the
complex care services are equipped to provide safe
and effective support. All staff undertake mandatory
training as stated above as well as the following
additional training.
Working closely together, we were able to make
successful capital grant bids to the NHS and we have
secured properties for our commissioners, and after
extensive work these will be both be ready in late
summer 2024.
+ Self-harm, suicide prevention and
ligature removal
We have also developed a new state of the art, complex
needs service in Surrey for six people which opened
in summer 2023. All homes have their own garden,
extensive therapeutic and peer rooms, and robust
capable environments. outcomes.
