CBZ Holdings successfully defended its title as the overall winner of the 2023 IOBZ Interbank games that took place
on the 16th to the 17th of September at the University of Zimbabwe grounds, marking yet another milestone in the
history of the IOBZ games.
The much celebrated accomplishment was a moment of pride for CBZ Holdings that provided a platform for staff
members to engage in friendly competitions with other players in the financial services sector, while fostering a sense
of unity and camaraderie.
About 280 staff members from the Group nationwide participated in different disciplines, where 30 medals were
bagged, (17 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze) – the highest in the games. Disciplines included netball, volleyball, tennis,
soccer, squash, pool, darts, chess, athletic tracks, basketball, and tug of wars.
Participating in such events boosts morale of staff members and facilitates networking and collaboration with
colleagues from other institutions, translating to a motivated and engaged workforce.
Events such as the IOBZ Interbank games epitomize the positive impact that a holistic approach to business can have
on staff members by facilitating a healthy work life balance.
