Enjoy an exciting spring day out to Skipton, where the canal
and river wind their way through the town. Explore the
renowned Skipton market or stroll through the streets of
this beautiful town. History, culture, independent shops and
boutiques and an iconic castle all await you. The castle is
over 900 years old and is one of the most complete and
preserved in Britain. After time for lunch, we enjoy a
relaxing canal cruise along the Leeds & Liverpool canal
with included tea/coffee and biscuits. A commentary
highlights places of interest and tells fascinating stories.

shops as well as a traditional Victorian pier. The town’s
castle is an un昀椀nished masterpiece and referred to as ‘the
greatest castle never built’. This afternoon we take a cruise
to Pu昀케n Island, a bird sanctuary and nesting site for many
species of breeding seabirds. You will be likely to see
common guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and of course
pu昀케ns as well as admiring amazing scenery.
