STEP 3: GET EMPLOYEES INVOLVED
ERG leaders should draw up a plan and work with their team to develop
outreach strategies and generate interest in joining the group.
The following steps are suggested to achieve this objective and help
streamline your communication efforts while encouraging greater
participation in the ERG:
Customize the following materials to introduce the group:
Outreach E-mail: A customizable message to invite employees to join
the ERG, including key details about the group’s purpose, benefits, and
upcoming events.
Graphics: Visual materials that promote the ERG and can be shared
across various platforms:
Printable flyer

Newsletter Announcement: A template specifically for inclusion in
company newsletters that provides a brief overview of the ERG and
encourages participation.
Feedback Survey: A simple survey format to gather employee feedback
on the ERG and ideas for future initiatives.
Meeting Invitation: A standardized invite for upcoming ERG meetings,
including agenda items and ways to participate.
Information Sheet: A one-page overview of the ERG, including its
mission, objectives, and benefits of joining, suitable for distribution
during events or meetings.

company’s marketing department through company newsletters, email
blasts, the company intranet, flyer inserts with paychecks, events, ads on
