Year 4: Science - Terrific Teeth
Y4 Science Lesson Plan
Terrific Teeth:
The Human Digestive System, Including Teeth
This lesson plan covers national curriculum objectives for year 4 to support a unit of work focusing on the
digestive systems of humans, including teeth. However, it can be adapted for use with younger or older
learners.
We recommend you read through the plan carefully and adapt it to suit the needs of your learners. You
may wish to expand on the topic to consolidate the learning. You could also use this lesson as part of a day
devoted to Guinness World Records activities, such as Guinness World Records Day in November.
Although helpful, you do not need a copy of any Guinness World Records books to be able to teach this
lesson.
The symbols used in this lesson plan and in the lesson presentation
indicate suggestions for partner work and group work.
