Kensington & Chelsea This Christmas
Discover the magic this holiday season in the Kensington and Chelsea
area. From festive markets or Christmas lights to rides overlooking the
city, here are some of the best Christmas events to enjoy.
Portobello Road Market
Celebrate the Christmas season in Notting-Hill style at the Portobello
Road Market. This is one of the most famous and historical street markets in the world and o昀昀ers a unique experience every time you visit.
Located in the district of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
in West London, you will 昀椀nd that the market starts at Notting Hill Gate
where you 昀椀nd some of the world’s best Antiques and Bric-a-Brac, which
is what really has made Portobello famous. The market is ever-changing
but the rich community and diversity of it always stays the same.
Saturdays are usually the best day to visit but the annual Christmas
Sunday market runs throughout December, 10am-4pm. This special
Christmas market on Sundays is 昀椀lled with antiques, clothing and food
stalls from Westbourne Grove up to Golborne Road, surrounded by
Christmas lights and festivities.
Notting hill market has food from all over the world where you will 昀椀nd
selections of freshly cooked dishes and baked goods, fresh fruit, vegetables and herbs that will be perfect for all your warm festive dishes.
Surrounding the stalls are shops and delicatessens where you will 昀椀nd
fresh food, wine and store cupboard ingredients which you can add to
your festive home-cooked meals.
Get in the festive mood down Portobello Road where the antiques and
bric-a-brac will be joined by stalls selling one-of-kind Christmas decorations and artisan gifts from the city’s designer-makers, not only will
you be able to buy gifts but spread the joy whilst watching performances
from musicians and artists too.
Christmas in Chelsea- Royal Hospital Chelsea
The iconic Royal Hospital Chelsea has been transformed into a winter
wonderland that you do not want to miss. This is London’s newest
festive tradition, and this Christmas experience will take place from 4th
- 29th December 2024.

This year’s Christmas market will be serving traditional Christmas

be performers on three stages and along Sloane Street before Father
Christmas himself will join a local child and light up the neighbourhood
with 360-degree display of lights, at the main stage at Duke of York
Square.
The entertainment doesn’t stop there, Cartier will be adding a sense
of theatre this season with its ‘Carter bellboys’ welcoming guests. This

Winter Wonderland- Hyde Park
Winter wonderland that is located in Hyde Park and is open from 21st
November 2024 until 5th January 2025.
From ice skating to bottomless pizza there is endless things to do at the
famous Winter wonderland.
The UK’s hottest street eats, the Street Food Village, returns for another
year with so many options, so everyone can be pleased. From The Mac
Daddy to Love Churros, there are lots of returning food stalls but they’re
also welcoming exciting, new ones.
There are so many things to do at Winter Wonderland, look over the city
on some of the biggest thrills or take a ride on the giant wheel, watch the
