We9ve proved him in days that are past.
The wicked who oght against Zion
Will surely be smitten at last.
3. We9ll sing of his goodness and mercy.
We9ll praise him by day and by night,
Rejoice in his glorious gospel,
And bask in its life-giving light.
Thus on to eternal perfection
The honest and faithful will go,
While they who reject this glad message
Shall never such happiness know.

REPENTANCE
READ Titus 3:5-7; Romans 4:3-5
Righteousness is obedience to the law. The law demands righteousness, and this the
sinner owes to the law; but he is incapable of rendering it. The only way in which he
can attain to righteousness is through faith. By faith he can bring to God the merits of
Christ, and the Lord places the obedience of His Son to the sinner's account.
Christ's righteousness is accepted in place of man's failure, and God receives, pardons,
justioes, the repentant, believing soul, treats him as though he were righteous, and loves
him as He loves His Son. 1SM 367.1

HOLY SPIRIT
READ
As you empty the heart of self, you must accept the righteousness of Christ. Lay
hold of it by faith; for you must have the mind and spirit of Christ, that you may
work the works of Christ. If you open the door of the heart, Jesus will supply the vacuum
by the gift of his Spirit, and then you can be a living preacher in your home, in the church,
and in the world. RH Feb. 23,1892, par 5
