As well as supporting the Games,
Kidney Care UK also provides grants
to kidney patients across the UK, making it
possible for them to compete in the Games.
Typically, around 60% of competitors in the
Transplant Games are either kidney recipients or
on dialysis. The Games Opening Ceremony will
be held in the fantastic grounds of Nottingham
Castle and the Mustering Point for teams
involved in the Games is at the Bandstand in the
Castle which is visible from the Castle entrance.
Teams are asked to arrive by 5.30pm and
access to the Castle is from 5pm onwards,
as prior to this the Castle is open to the public.
The Athletes’ Parade will commence at 6.30pm.
ACCESS TO THE OPENING CEREMONY
IS BY ACCREDITATION PASS. GUESTS
THAT HAVE BEEN INVITED TO THE
GAMES RECEPTION WILL BE ON A LIST.
The Castle has a capacity and therefore
we must control entries.
