The following BCO Awards are by
nomination or invitation only:
INNOVATION AWARD
The innovation award recognises significant
innovation in one or more areas, for example: unique
or differentiated design, materials, sustainability,
technology, lighting, procurement, social programme,
mixed use and regeneration. Winners for this category
are nominated and chosen by the regional judges from
any of the other categories and presented at the regional
awards. All regional winners go on to compete for the
national innovation award. Please note the national
innovation winner will be chosen by the national judges
from any of the regional category winners including
the regional innovation winners.
ENVIRONMENT, SOCIAL & GOVERNANCE
(ESG) AWARD
This award recognises a project that will have a game
changing influence on the environment, social value,
governance or sustainable outcomes in the commercial
building sector. Winners for this category are
nominated and chosen by the regional judges from
any of the other categories and presented at the regional
awards. All regional winners go on to compete for
the National ESG Award. Please note the national
ESG winner will be chosen by the national judges
from any of the regional category winners including
the regional ESG winners.
PRESIDENT’S AWARD
This special award is presented for an outstanding
contribution to the Property Industry. This might
be a project, company or individual, or perhaps a
combination of all three. The BCO President,
Awards Chairman and BCO Chief Executive choose
the recipient of this Award and the BCO President
presents this award at the National Awards Dinner
in October.
REGIONAL COMMITTEE CHAIR AWARD
This award is presented by the Regional Committee
Chair for an outstanding contribution to the Property
Industry in the region. This might be a project,
company or individual, or perhaps a combination of
all three. The BCO Regional Committee Chair, Regional
Judging Chair and BCO Regional Committee choose
the recipient of this Award.
TEST OF TIME AWARD
This Award is by invitation of the National Judging
Panel and open to past Awards winners from five years
ago. The Award recognises the demonstration of
factors such as adaptability, savings in use, increased
staff retention and / or reduced staff absenteeism.
All winners of a BCO Awards in 2020 will be invited in
early 2025 to enter their winning project for a chance
to win the BCO Test of Time Award at next year’s
National Awards Dinner in October 2025.

BCO Customer Experience
IN
2025!
AWARD COMING
The BCO have great pleasure in announcing a new
Customer Experience Award which will be launched
to members in early 2025.
The new and innovative award will recognise office
buildings, business parks and campuses where an
outstanding customer experience is provided by
landlords, property managers, corporate real estate
professionals, facility managers and their service
partners to occupiers, their employees, visitors and
the wider community. The first BCO Customer
Experience Award will be presented at the National
Awards dinner in October 2025. Details on how
to enter will be announced in due course.
