Our work with
Women in Banking and Finance
We are proud to have worked in partnership with the
not-for-profit, Women in Banking & Finance (WIBF).
WIBF has been championing women in financial
services for 40 years and it has been our honour to help
them achieve their goals of increasing the number of
female professionals in the financial services sector.
Recently, we worked with them on a great project:
Name of programme: Accelerating Change Together (“ACT”)
Participating entities: WIBF & the London School of Economics
(LSE)
Goal: The programme was the UK’s first cross-sector research
programme designed to highlight the UK financial services
industry’s pressing gender inclusion challenges. The aim was
to provide actionable recommendations to better retain and
promote women in the financial services workforce.
Challenge: WIBF and LSE needed support recruiting seniorgrade professionals from across our specialist markets to be
interviewed for the programme.
Outcome of Barclay Simpson’s involvement: Our specialist
consultant teams delivered 26 senior governance and cyber
professionals who contributed to the success of the final
report. You can read the full report here, as well as coverage
in the FT.
Ongoing support for WIBF and LSE
We are working with the WIBF and LSE to support them in
recruiting professionals from our network to be interviewed by
LSE for further research on a report examining the link between
diversity and productivity. Watch this space for more
information about the outcome.
