Sun Coast Alliance is the PAC that sent out
mailers supporting the reversal of single
member districts in Sarasota County. The
PACÕs registered agent, chair and treasurer is
Tallahasse-based William Staûord Jones.
Sun Coast Alliance targeted voters with mailers
advocating a return to at-large voting for
County Commissioners. The amendment went
before Sarasota County voters on March 8,
2022, on the same ballot as the special election
to approve the Sarasota County Schools
school tax. The school tax is an optional 1
millage increase in property tax which must be
approved every four years. (

2022 referendum showed Sun Coast Alliance
receiving $220,000 from Serious Conservatives
C4, a political committee based in Tallahassee.
