1.3 CHOICE OF TEMPORARY WORKS
1.3.1
An ‘Engineered Solution’ can be either a standard solution or a bespoke design.
A bespoke design is anything outside of the standard, i.e., non-standard, but does not
mean it’s a complex design.
1.3.2
The ‘Engineered Solution’ or ‘Design’ can also be expressed or ‘categorised’ as:

The ‘Category’ can also be expressed as the ‘Design Check Category’ which relates
to the design risk and the independency required for the design check. The higher the
number, the more independent or higher-level authorisation or scrutiny the check will
need to have.
